Importing monocrystalline, polycrystalline and bifacial solar panels from Chinese PV manufacturers? CGF Inspection offers reliable Pre-Shipment Inspection service for photovoltaic modules before goods leave the factory.
CGF Pre-Shipment Inspection for Solar Panels
Importing monocrystalline, polycrystalline and bifacial solar panels from Chinese PV manufacturers? CGF Inspection offers reliable Pre-Shipment Inspection service for photovoltaic modules before goods leave the factory.
Pre-Shipment Inspection will be arranged when more than 80% of production is finished. Our professional inspectors carry out random sampling according to recognized AQL standards. Both visual appearance inspection and necessary electrical performance tests will be implemented to evaluate overall product quality.
Complete Solar Panel Inspection Checklist
Specification & Dimension Verification
Check panel length, width, thickness and frame size. Confirm model type, power grade, cell type and color tone match your approved sample and technical datasheet.
Front Glass Surface Inspection
Check tempered glass for scratches, chips, cracks, residual glue, stains, bubbles and foreign particles which affect light transmittance.
Solar Cell & Internal Layout Check
Inspect cells for micro-cracks, broken fragments, discoloration, hot spot risk, offset solder ribbons and uneven spacing between cells.
Aluminum Frame Quality Audit
Check frame bending, deformation, surface scratches, oxidation marks, assembly gap, corner joint flatness and silicone sealing integrity.
Junction Box & Cable Connector Inspection
Verify junction box adhesion, waterproof seal, internal wiring, diode working condition, cable length and connector matching.
EL Electroluminescence Testing
Arrange EL test on sampled panels to discover invisible hidden cell cracks, broken grids and poor welding that cannot be seen by naked eyes.
Power Performance Testing
Conduct power testing under standard test conditions, monitor Voc, Isc, Pmax to ensure actual output complies with rated nameplate parameters.
Labeling & Export Packaging Inspection
Check nameplate information, barcode, certification logos and warning labels. Inspect protective film, corner protection, outer carton strength and correct shipping marks.
Formal English Inspection Report
After on-site inspection, you will receive a full inspection report including dimension records, defect photos, EL images and power test data for your evaluation.
Avoid receiving defective solar modules and costly overseas returns. Arrange pre-shipment inspection for your solar panel orders with CGF Inspection.
What We Check
- Visual & workmanship inspection against your approved AQL
- Functional and safety testing on sampled units
- Key dimensions and specifications vs the signed sample
- Quantity verification — cartons, units and assortment
- Packaging, inner/outer carton, labeling and barcode checks
- On-site photography and, where needed, carton-drop or smell tests
When To Book This Service
- Finished goods are 80–100% produced and at least 80% packed
- Before you release the final balance payment to the factory
- For a new supplier, a new product, or any high-value order
How CGF Conducts It
- We agree the AQL level (General II, normal) and sample size with you
- A local CGF inspector visits the factory on the confirmed date
- Checks cover appearance, function, measurement and packing
- All findings are photo-documented on site
- A detailed English report is sent within 24 hours
Why It Matters
- Catch defects before the goods leave China — far cheaper than returns
- Protect your final payment until quality is verified
- Avoid rejected shipments, chargebacks and brand damage

Industries We Cover
Where We Operate
Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong (Dongguan / Shenzhen / Foshan / Shunde), Qingdao, Sichuan, Chongqing and across China.
Inspection Standards We Work To
| Standard | What it covers |
|---|---|
| AQL (Acceptance Quality Limit) | Defines the maximum number of defective units acceptable in a random sample — the basis of our sampling plans. |
| ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 | U.S. standard for sampling by attributes (single, double and multiple sampling). |
| ISO 2859-1 | International general standard for sampling by attributes, equivalent to ANSI/ASQ Z1.4. |
| ISO 9001 | Quality management system baseline referenced in our factory audits. |
| IEC / EN / ASTM | Product-specific safety & performance references applied per your specification. |
Every CGF assignment includes
- An independent, on-site inspector working for you — never the factory
- Internationally recognised AQL sampling (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 · ISO 2859-1)
- On-site photos embedded in every report
- A detailed, bilingual English inspection report within 24 hours of the visit
