What is China inspection?
China inspection is the independent, third-party verification of product quality performed inside Chinese factories before, during and after production. The inspector is employed by the third-party agency, not by the factory, and checks your goods against your own specifications, approved sample and AQL levels.
When you source from China, a China inspection gives you objective evidence that goods match your specifications, so you can release payment or reject a shipment with confidence. For consumer-goods importers, a China QC inspection replaces supplier self-declaration with dated photos, defect counts and a documented pass or fail result.

CGF Inspection was founded in Hangzhou in 2017. With 15+ years of team inspection experience and 3,000+ QC projects completed, we handle quality control for China manufacturing across electronics, apparel, furniture, toys and housewares. Every result is backed by on-site photographs, so you can verify the findings yourself instead of trusting a one-line verdict.
Where we operate in China
Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong (Dongguan / Shenzhen / Foshan / Shunde), Qingdao, Sichuan, Chongqing and across China - 50+ cities in total. We work where consumer goods are actually made: electronics and small appliances in Zhejiang and the Pearl River Delta, apparel and textiles in Jiangsu and Dongguan, furniture in Foshan, toys in Shantou, housewares and kitchenware around Ningbo and Taizhou. Because inspectors live inside these clusters, a QC inspection in China can usually be scheduled within days and without premium travel costs.
How to book a China inspection
Tell us your product, order quantity and factory location - we assign a local inspector and confirm the date, then deliver your report within 24 hours of the visit. To quote a fixed fee we normally need the purchase order or proforma invoice, your specification or approved sample details, the AQL levels to apply (the AQL calculator shows standard sample sizes), and the expected ready date. Book two to three working days ahead; urgent visits in major clusters are often possible sooner. Request a free quote to start.
China Inspection: Frequently Asked Questions
What does a China QC inspection cover?
The inspector verifies quantity against the packing list, workmanship and function against your specification, and packaging, labelling and shipping marks against your instructions. On a freezer pre-shipment check in Qingdao, for example, that meant run-testing sampled units, checking door seals and temperature controls, and photographing every defect found - see the freezer pre-shipment inspection in Qingdao.
How much does a QC inspection in China cost?
We charge a fixed fee per inspector-day, agreed before the visit. The quote you receive within one working day is the price you pay, with no factory-side expenses added afterwards. Most orders need one inspector for one day; high-volume or multi-SKU orders may need a second man-day, which we flag in the quote before you confirm.
Can I import from China without visiting the factory myself?
Yes - that is exactly what third-party inspection is for. The inspector works from your checklist and AQL levels, records findings with photos and measurements, and you make the accept or reject decision from the report. Many clients approve shipments for years without ever meeting a supplier in person.
